- DATA ENTRY PROGRAM - Description of Stock Select Screen (1 of 4)
-
- The stock select screen can display the names of up to 16 stocks at one time.
- A selector block is visible on the screen, in the form of a solid bar which
- covers a single data item. A stock (or other security) is selected when the
- selector block is on the same line as the name of that stock. The selector
- block is always on a stock symbol, but it can be moved through the list of
- stocks by means of the cursor keys on the right side of the keyboard. If you
- press the wrong key, an error message will flash on the bottom of the screen
- until you press another correct key.
-
- The up-arrow key moves the selector block up one line each time it is pressed.
- If necessary, the display will scroll one line towards the beginning of
- the list of stocks.
-
- The down-arrow key moves the selector block down one line each time it is
- pressed. If necessary, the display will scroll one line towards the end
- of the list of stocks.
-
- The left- and right-arrow keys are not active for this screen.

- DATA ENTRY PROGRAM - Description of Stock Select Screen (3 of 4)
-
- E = data ENTRY or correction of volume and prices for the selected stock. This
- will take you to the data entry screen, which also permits handling of
- stock splits or dividends and changing of the moving average periods.
-
- G = draw a bar GRAPH for any stock. If you are using an IBM-PC, XT or AT, you
- must have a color graphics adapter installed in order to draw bar graphs
- either on the screen or on a printer. Many "compatible" machines such as
- the Compaq will not require a separate graphics adapter. A color monitor
- is not required; the program is designed for either a monochrome or a
- color monitor.
-
- If you are using a Corona computer, it must have an IBM-compatible color
- graphics adapter installed. The Corona has double the vertical and
- horizontal resolution of the IBM, causing the bar charts to occupy only
- the upper left quarter of the screen.
-
- A = ADD or delete any stock, or make changes to a stock name, symbol, ex-
- change, dividends, earnings, price goals or stop limit. This will take
- you to the add/delete program and another stock select screen.

- program, make a backup copy of a disk, etc.
